Who Is Certified?

While many doctors of chiropractic (DC) prepare for careers in private practice, teaching, or research many choose additional education and training in a specialty field and pursue specialty certification. Practicing neuromusculoskeletal specialists (Diplomates) hold specialty board certification. Diplomates that are members of the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (IANM) and are in good standing are titled Fellows of the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (FIANM).

The IANM maintains a recertification process on a 3-year cycle available for Fellows of the Academy, to provide an ongoing program for maintaining clinical competency in the specialty of chiropractic neuromusculoskeletal medicine.
