Academy President Letter
January 24th, 2020

From the Desk of Kim Skibsted DC, FIANM(us)
President
International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine

Greetings Fellows,

Many of you have inquired about obtaining a new International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (IANM) certificate. Some facts need to be understood about this opportunity.

You will not lose your DACO or DABCO certification. Those two Boards were your certification bodies. They will remain on your CV as they have since you earned the credential. The Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists is still present in the background. The Academy is still in business but is now doing business as the IANM. The DABCO doctor, as a member of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists, and the DACO member could use the same FACO, yet both had different certifying Boards. The IANM change is no different. The change will be that the use of Fellow Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (FACO) will no longer be used or recognized. All personal, office or other references to Fellow Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists should be discontinued by 01/01/21.

You must be a member of the IANM to receive your certificate. The new moniker will be FIANM (us) for country identification in the United States. Others include, for example, Australia (au), Brazil (br), and Canada (ca). The IANM is truly international and we have received inquiries from several countries about classes.

The new certificates are gorgeous, and if you are interested, please send the following information to the IANM at https://ianmmedicine.org/contact-us/
