AMERICAN COLLEGE OF CHIROPRACTIC ORTHOPEDISTS

ACADEMY DELPHI COMMITTEE
The Academy has been vigorously expanding the Delphi process for examination development. Not only is this going to be used for updated MCQ questions and OSCE scenarios for the Diplomate examination, but for the development of additional tracts for the re-certification process that is coming soon. The Academy is working on expanding this process for the chiropractic orthopedic specialty.
ORTHOPEDIC DIPLOMATE PROGRAM
Palmer College of Chiropractic is again offering the Orthopedic Diplomate program. The program will begin this fall in September 2009. If you are interested or if you know a group of doctors in your area that wish to attend the Orthopedic Diplomate Program contact Palmer Continuing Education at (800) 452-5032.
ACADEMY MEMBERSHIP DUES
Recently the Academy has received several letters of inquiry about membership and dues renewal.
Members of the Academy are designated as Fellows of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (FACO). Academy membership is comprised of certified chiropractic orthopedists. These are doctors of chiropractic who have completed extensive post-doctoral education in non-surgical orthopedics, and have passed an orthopedic specialty board certification examination to become certified chiropractic orthopedists (Diplomate).
The Academy is independent from all chiropractic political organizations. No other chiropractic organization membership is necessary for membership in the Academy.
While many organizations have membership dues paid at the same time annually for all members, the Academy dues are renewed on the member’s anniversary date noted on the Fellow certificate.
The Academy is grateful for your participation and continued dedication to further advance the orthopedic specialty and the chiropractic profession. It is only through your support and team work that the specialty is able to accomplish these professional advances.
Thank you for your continued support of the Academy.
