Volume 4, Number 2
From the Desk of J. R. Brandt, DC, FACO President, Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists
Good Morning Doctor,
There have been some changes made on the website (www.dcorthoacademy.com).
This will make it easier for you to recommend a colleague to join the Academy. Additional friendly changes are in the works.
Deadline for the April 14th Academy Diplomate examination is rapidly approaching. Application and full payment for the examination must be received by March 15, 2005. Those of you who have associates, classmates or other colleagues eligible to take the certification examination, please direct them to our website for other upcoming examination dates. Contact the Academy at 515-981-9654 for details.
One of our mission statement goals is to promote education. Part of the business plan this year is to expand available information about our orthopedic specialty. As part of the plan, the Academy has created a link on our website for you to have a direct link from your website to the Academy website, if you wish. When people hit your site and are interested in your orthopedic background, they will have the opportunity to click your link to the Academy, and learn more about the Chiropractic Orthopedist. Check the site and click on “Link Your Website to the Academy.” Watch for more changes on the site throughout the year.
Another goal of the Academy Board is to bring more familiarity to the profession and those that are interested in or searching the profession for information about the Chiropractic Orthopedist. We have been working on some internet avenues that will enhance our visibility to the public and profession.
Another goal has been nearly completed. We have updated the blue educational tract “Your Doctor is a Chiropractic Orthopedist.” I have seen the rough layout of the new brochure…any day now some proofs will be sent. It is going to look great. Last count we have only 300 (as of the first of February) of the other pamphlets. For those 300 the Christmas price is extended until they are gone. We may have a little lag time before the new brochures are ready… (Sorry)!
Thank you for your telephone calls and e-mails of encouragement. I appreciate talking with you. I hope to see many of you in San Antonio. I understand the Academy will have some papers presented at the symposium. You can go on our website and link to the ACCO for further information about the conference.
Get ready for the Leprechauns next month!
